Jessys come to stay at mine for a week. She s not scared of James but is very wary of him especially in the house when he moves quickly ( which luckily isnt often!) So we are keeping things calm. She however already loves the garden and playing ball. We didnt encourage that as not sure how long it is since her spay and if the stitches are all ok?

Shes very loving and keen to please. We walked her and Brian when she arrived yesterday and they were fine together. She hasnt met the cat yet but has seen her through the glass door, looked interested but that was it no bad reaction.

She paced up and down the front room alot but eventually lay down calm just before bed time, However she didnt like the crate. She has tested it and it cant be a strong one as shes bent it!

We left the door open and kept putting treats and bones in there and she went in and out. It was then late and we had to go to bed so put her in and put some lead clips on the door (as advised by Sharon) and pushed the foot stool up against the door. She wined and barked, then Brian joined in from kitchen! But OMG James now thinks hes the dog whisperer because his idea was to bang on the bedroom door whenever she made a noise and it took about ten minutes but it worked! She was then fine all night.

I had to go to work today so left James in charge. He had a funny time. Trying to get her lead on became a game, according to him it should have been vidoed with the Benny Hill music going in the back ground ! He managed it eventually when they were in the house and walked them both together twice. She is actually very good on the lead ( once its on LOL) no issues with other dogs. Shes also had an afternoon kip in the crate which was left with the door open so hopefully tonight when she goes to bed wont be an issue.

I know shes only been here a day but Brian loves her already!!!love1 :pet:

Jessy went in her crate no problem last night. I might have to get a bigger one though! She likes lying on her side and stretching out her legs and only just fits. Shes has lovely long legs, she is going to be huge seeing as shes only one now. She loves her chew toys and bones. She also likes soft toys but ripped one apart quite quickly so have put the others away.

Shes been very good with other dogs, we ve met 2 while out walking, both hyper. One boxer on a lead and whilst they where all over the place we kept a distance but she didnt react just looked and kept going. The other one a happy hound of some sort was off the lead and came bounding up to her! She said hello nicely, then wanted to play but was easy to control.

She actually walks really nicely on the lead, likes to walk in front of you but then doesnt pull. When we went off lead in the paddock she had good run round but came back when called. Brian and her are getting on fine, Brian likes her alot and so do we!

Update received from Jessy s new home

"Just wanted to let you know that Jessie is settling in very well, she was very excited the first day we got home investigating the house and garden, Max the cat is slowly coming round as well which is good after previously having the place to himself, the kong is definitely one of her favourite things also the football but she does get very excited when playing football and dosnt want to let it go but this we are working on, she is very obedient she will sit, lay down, give her paw and will wait if we ask her to before having food or a treat etc…she definitely loves lots of cuddles and is a complete big softy and we all love her very much."

Looks like shes having a tough time ! LOL laugh

So happy for her.happy dance
