Just wanted to give you all an update on Duchess (aka Sukie).

She has settled in very well and currently lives with Tyler (rotty) and Demi, Toy Poodle (I have several days a week). She is always keen to please, has a very healthy appetite and always keen to meet other people (even if they are not keen to me her because of her size ... bless).

Anyhow, though it seems that we have had her for much longer, I feel she had developed well though, like all things with taking a rescue dog of her stature and background, there is more to do though we firmly believe we are all going in the right direction.

Tis was only the night before Xmas when Duchess would have easily chased down my two other cats around the house, been appeased by a side dish of poodle and a nice leg of rotty. Today she tolerates the cats and generally ignores them (though is it concerning that she licks her lips when they walk by sometimes); runs around playing with the rotty and every evening she can be seen pleasantly running in doggy dreamland with the poodle and rotty all laying close together on the floor (for those who are familiar with this observation … yeah you know what I mean) …….Bless. Only down side re Xmas is that she decided to pinch my glass of baileys whilst I was not looking ….not Bless!

Now for all those looking to invest in a LBDR dog there is room for improvement and she still has to learn that all other dogs/cats in the streets are not snack bites though we generally look back on the 7 weeks gone by with a big “didn’t she do well” thought in the back of our minds. Well done Duchess and well done the LBDR team for the training afforded to her.

The picture above tell it all ....." I am sooooo over xmas!!!!!!"

Thanks for the update, she was very much part of LBDR and is still missed here, but we are all so happy that she is in a lovely warm home and being cared for so well

She still has much to learn especialy where other dogs are concerned but I am sure with your guidance she will get there, tell her to try and learn the lessons well as it would be great to see her at the September funday

A poodle surprised my god you have done well

As for the Baileys well what do you expect rofl

Nice photo of a contented girl love

........ and the evidence that Duchess also can be friendly with at least one small dog. The small one is a toy poodle and though it may not look like it, but she is laying down on the floor.

ps for Sharon, look carefully but note Duchess is still wearing the pink collar you gave her the day she left LBDR. It epitomises that for all her failings, her vices and her tantrums angry1 when other dogs are in her sight ..... she is nonetheless .....
……. just a girl love2
